Terms of service

These terms cover orders placed with Gilded Altar through this website. The seller is Gilded Altar, Brentwood, Sandhills Drive, Berrow TA8 2LQ, United Kingdom. Email: jaymesnealett@gmail.com.

 

Placing an order

When you place an order you are offering to buy the lamp shown. We accept the order when we send an order confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil it, we will refund you in full.

 

Products and price

We take care to show each lamp clearly, including colour and finish. Handmade and crackle glass vary slightly from piece to piece. That variation is part of the product, not a fault. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where VAT applies. We may correct an obvious pricing error before dispatch and will offer you a refund if you do not want to continue.

 

Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through Shopify Payments. We accept the card methods shown at checkout.

 

Delivery and returns

Delivery is covered in our Shipping policy. Returns and refunds are covered in our Refund policy. Those pages form part of these terms.

 

Risk

Risk in the lamp passes to you when the courier delivers it to the address you gave us.

 

Liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract, or of our negligence. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory rights about faulty goods.

We may update these terms for future orders. The terms in force when you order are the ones that apply to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You can still bring a claim in the UK courts of your home country if you live elsewhere in the UK.
